I AM SEEING MCFLY TWICE IN THE SPACE OF A WEEK PEOPLE!!!
2008 is seriously MY year
I just spent 10 days over in the tropical paradise known as FIJI and by god it was wonderful Sitting on the pristine beaches with an array of cocktails in hand soaking up the rays , it was just gorgeous!
Until cyclone Gene decided to drop by...
The night before it hit, Bill (the entertainment director dude, who has that disease where dark skin turns white in patches, which caused us to christen him 'Top Deck') came over the loud speaker and told us not to worry! That yes a cyclone was developing off the coast, but assured us that the island we were on had not been through one in 10 years and therefore it was highly unlikely to cross our path...
4am... BOOM
Category 2 cyclone = rain and the most crazy amount of wind I have ever seen! Man it was scary stuff. So for the rest of the holiday it was bucketing down, but as you can imagine it made for some memorable experiences.. I shall crap on about the holiday more in a future entry with accompanying happy snaps
Tomorrow morning I will be returning a phone call in order to arrange a job interview for a community care position!! I am so bloody excited to FINALLY be taking the steps needed to move into the profession i've been studying towards for the past 4 years!! Hopefully I get the job and wave a fond farewell to check-out-chickery
and lastly....
I AM SEEING THE BEST BAND ON THE PLANET TWICE IN ONE WEEK IN A PUB FOR $40 ALL UP!!!!!!!!!
I learnt today that the pub only holds 300 peeps and is standing room only and holy crap could it get any better! Nice an intimate aka RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM!!!!!!!! JEEZUZ!!!!!!!
My tummy butterflies have been going nana's since Tuesday night and I swear to god they aren't gonna be letting up anytime soon!!!! Seriously tho, i'm finding it so hard to come to grips with the unbelievablity of the past 2 days. I have been dreaming of getting my arse on a plane to England for the past 3 years for the sole purpose of seeing these guys live. Which would probably have been at a packed out arena like Wembley stadium where obviously I would have had the time of my life, but prolly would have scored a seat right at the back and would have a snowball's chance in hell at meeting them/getting up close. Instead I'll be seeing them in a pub for $20 a gig in the heart of Sydney...it's just...so..INCREDIBLE
