So for some craaazy reason, Windows Movie Maker is konking out and crashing on me everytime I open it to put this Edward video together
However I did manage to save it at 30% so i'll pop what I have up for now and work on getting the bloody thing to work for me later on today (along with poppong up the FAQ section AND August's free Potter Panel)!

The trouble with having more than one piece on the go, is that one is always in constant conflict with onself as to which piece to work on
So as a result i've swapped and changed between a few pieces over the past couple of nights and have gotten each a tiiiiny little bit further along

At the moment i've put Josh on hold, as EVEN in the greys, it just isn't working out. Which is a real shame as it would of made such a lovely gift
So will wait and and see if my Auntie wants me to go ahead with it or not.
Just goes to show that not every picture will work!! I fiddled about with the lighting, etc.. but nothing has seemed to work unfortunately

I've used the same hook since 2008 and earlier this week I spotted this one which has a red spongy casing around the bottom. So i'm going to see if it makes any difference to the tingly aches and strains I sometimes get. Really I think the only cure for that, is to lay off the crocheting for a bit.....

So far so good, although with this picture i've never felt comfortable
Things could turn sour at any minute on this baby, so i'll just keep crossing fingers and holding my breath till he's done! Hopefully the lemons can be turned to lemonade in celebration of how great it looks, rather than being thrown at it in a fit of hissyness and frustration
So the plan at this stage is to get him finished by the weekend....

So have I mentioned that...
I SUCK AT KNITTING!!!!!!!!
Things started out pretty well! I had my yarn, my snip snips, my tunes going, my pattern all set to go. I got the first few rows out of the way, with no problemo's, thinking I was pretty darn cool ...


Then after smoothing it out, I found myself shrieking...
Who's the friggin idiot who forgot that this sort of knitting calls for multiple bobbins so as one does not have to CUT each tie-off!!
I know I know!! Me = !!!!
It's been soooo so so long since i've knitted a scarf that I completely forgot about the whole carry-your-yarn-or-you'll-be-really-sorry-thing!
Hence I ended up with a twirly whirly mess around one needle


So with a heavy heart, I ripped it all off and am set to start all over again WITH bobbins a plenty!!!
Side note - pretty easy to guess what i'm incorporating into the scarf yeah?!? Anyone got it yet?!?!
By the by, i'm so freaking impatient that even though there isn't much to see, i've started my reveal of my Edward Cullen piece a little early...


Yeah so this was my grand plan for revealing it to you all
A bit of a row by row reveal! I'll try and hold off till 50% before putting another one together
So the plan for this weekend is to get my Josh portrait done and dusted so as I can get it to my Auntie next week and get to work on all my other W-I-P in my spare time. Which will be scarce as I have a shiteload of reading to catch up on

So the other night I had a massive lightbulb moment..

It was while I was listening to the killer tune "When We Were Beautiful" by none other than Bon Jovi..
With the boys set to tour in December, Australia has naturally gone Bon Jovi mad. Every store in the mall is belting out their tunes, t-shirts with their logo are sprouting out of every rack, etc..
So I was wondering how I could go about getting my Bon Jovi on (to show my musical appreciation ) and all of a sudden...

So this is the part of the piece where I hope to GOD i've chosen the right colours!!
At the moment i'm scared s**tless that it's going to come out looking way to damn dark! But i've been proven to be a bit of a drama queenie at this stage before, so i'll spend my nervous energy on something productive, like eating choc-coated marshmallows...
The lil guy does have a VERY stripey lil jumper on though, so it will take a while to get to his lil chin. Hopefully I can make up my mind as to whether to keep going or not before I waste too much time/yarn

By the by, July's free Hogwarts Peep pattern is up! Mr. Hairy face himself! Be warned this thing packs a LOAD of colour changing punches , so maybe save him till last if you're having a go at the whole lot
