♥ Bon Scott ♥

Hopped on the web this morning for my daily surf and decided to call in on Lucas over @ BonScottBlog.com
As shown in Figure 1.1 (aka the pic on the left), lookie who the 'Featured Fan of the Month' is eh!!!
Pretty sweet! Cheers Lucas!
Upon reading through Lucas' most recent entries and fans descriptions, it sounds as though the boys blasted the crap out of every city they played here on their Black Ice tour
Unfortuntely I wasn't able to get to a gig, but thanks to the beauty of youtube I was directed to this vid featuring the lil tribute the boys made to Bon <3

The pictures were a fitting little tribute, but my god I nearly lost it with the wink at the end. For a Bon fan it was just PERFECT
ONYA Acca Dacca!

Trees of Tara & R Patz

35% completed!

The tree's of Tara turned out waaaay better than I expected and the clouds are really creating that 'impending, swirling, something-brewing' type effect
Or is that just me?
Anywayz! I'm off to see 'Remember Me' tonight From what I hear, it may be a bit of a tear jerker?! Will be stocking up on Kleenex before heading in just in cases
I don't wanna get caught without like the time I saw "The Notebook". Lotta sniffing and waterworks after that one!
Also if anyone has any preference as far as the next free Harry Potter pattern to be put up goes, let me know in the comments or forever put up with what I choose
See ya's when we're older!

Pretty Girl

This past week my ears have been devoted to Status Quo, courtesy of their stella gig at the Palais in Melbourne last Saturday night and THE EASYBEATS
Quite possibly THE most UNDERRATED Aussie band EVER!
For those not in the know, they were usually dubbed 'Australia's answer to The Beatles' and in my opinion have two of the BEST songwriters EVER in Harry Vanda & George Young!
In particular this week i've been blasting 'Pretty Girl' - can't get enough!! Friggin AWESOME tune!!

Speaking of pretty girls, i'm almost a quarter of the way through my piece dedicated to Gone with the Wind, which stared one of the most beautiful women to grace the screen, Miss Vivien Leigh

I don't know about you but I suddenly feel a whole lot uglier! Just so stiking! Nicole Kidman, you got nothin on this lady!!!
So yes, so far about a quarter of the way through!

A tiny Scarlett silhouette is almost visible there on the left and the trees of Tara are looking great so far
So what are you guys making at the moment?!?!? Would LOVE to see and hear

More than the Status Quo!

I managed to get 2 snaps off before my camera batteries died!
Allow me to introduce you to my new loves

LOVE at first site For some folks it's puppy eyes staring at them from shopfront windows, for me...pink and black high tops....it's just the way I roll...
I also got talked into buying some ridiculously AWESOME skinny grey jeans which look freakin' FAB with the shoes When my batteries return from the dead i'll be sure to post a piccie! The only other pic I managed to fire off is of my new pretty pretty belt

gorge or what!
The guy had it around every mannequin in the shop and it looked so gorgeous with everything so it was definitely a case of 'i'm-not-leaving-this-shop-without-it'
Honestly though if this trip has taught me anything, it's that I need to get my arse to Melbourne MUCH more often. AWESOME city!!
The shopping was insane (despite my pitiful photographic evidence), the FOOD and cafes and restaurants are out of this world and man there's just so much to do down there! Walked my freaking pegs off
Highlights were of course seeing Status Quo (which was the whole reason for going down), they were un-freaking-believable! I actually got and popped a few blisters on my hands from clapping so much and I think I broke my chair by bouncing around like a total spazz for the entire show but holy crap, there's nothing quite like hearing a band that's been going 40+ years live. FAULTLESS playing and the sound was just so damn tight, GAH it was awesosme
Other highlights were definitely DOCKLANDS - the shopping was BRILL! The arcade tour through the city and of course....

Finally tracked down the sacred street in the heart of the city and paid hommage Of course the friggin batteries died before I could get a photo of myself under the sign but I was there man...I was there...

You Say Goodbye and I Say Hello!

So I juuuuuust got back from Melbourne late last night and therefore am more buggered than....well i'm so buggered I can't think of a witty metaphor right now ....
But I DID summon enough energy last night to finish off Sir. Paul McCartney

Started: 3rd March
Finished: 15th March
So so so many little single colour stitches in this one and I ended up having 4cms of one of the colours left but hurrah! I made it to the end!
Oh man, 6 hours sleep just isn't enough.. I think i'll go say good morning to Mr. Coffee and i'll come back later this morning to tell you all about how FABULOUS Melbourne was and more importantly show you my purchases -__^!
(Just had to get on here and show off the completed Pauly Boy

Swiss Cheese Noggen!

A community health announcement...
To prevent yourself waking up with painful searing indents all over your head, be sure to remove ALL bobbypins from your hair BEFORE falling asleep to prevent your skull resembling swiss cheese upon awakening the following morning.
While i'm at it, the same goes for mascara, sharp dangly earrings and glasses.
Honestly I have no idea what I get up to when i'm asleep (reeeally don't think I wanna know truth be told...) but this morning, I spent no less than half an hour untangling 5 billion bobbypins from my morning ratnest of a hair-do. Fun to the maximus!
In more exciting news, lookie lookie look look!

40% completed I'm scarily close to running out of a particular shade but i'm hoping to all things holy that I can make it to the end
In other news, I woke up to an email reminding me about my quickblogcast site I friggin forgot all about it!
So if there are any MCFLY FANS in the house, go and check out my super old podcasts at http://airwaves.totallee.net. I think I might get back into making regular podcasts soon. They're a bloody kak to go back and listen to
Anyone still visit here who heard the orginal totallee ones?!? Friggin awful weren't they

He Came In Through The Bathroom Window!

So we have a queue jumper in our midst....
Popped the old Ipod on shuffle last night while I was working away on my next big piece when tunes like 'Fool on the hill', 'Ob la Di, Ob La Da' & 'Hello Goodbye' popped up in succession. bit freaky, as I have close to 7000 tunes on there at the minute. So at 10pm last night I retired my other piece and banged out a pattern for Mr. Paul Mctrippy over here <--
5% Mark

I knocked 20 rows off the width and length so this one will be nearer to a reasonable cushion size

Final Panel Celebrations!BlogDateHeader>

Panel #9 Miss Ginny Weasley

As soon as I finished Ginny (which was at the ridiculous hour of 1AM!) I chucked them all onto the floor to take a snap and after doing this --> for about a minute, I stood back, had a good look at them all together and thought "How the hell did that happen!" !
I am the biggest procrastinator I know..
If whatever i'm doing isn't turning out the way I want it first go I tend to find the nearest window and chuck it out (eg. textbooks, assignments, credit card statement, tennis lessons (metaphorical window for that one)...
So to look down and see 9 gorgeous faces staring back at me, it was quite a shock to the system for the girl who never seems to finish anything
Therefore I think crochet is where it's at for me! I've got a list longer than both your arms put together of pieces i'd to make, so I think i'll be at this for quite some time!
Anywayz, I digress...
With all panels finished, it's now a matter of buying a -load of black wool to border them all! Then i'll have to sew them together and figure out a way to back it all, so all those lovely tie-off's don't tie off
All in all, it's been such an amazing project to work on and share with you all! If anyone does have a go at the free patterns, be sure to send me some piccies!! I'd love to see everyone's take on them
Okie dokie, time to pop the hard hat back on and get back into it! Stay tuned to see the beginnings of my next big piece! (I'm already at 10%...crazy...lol)
Side note - 'Theravensclaw' over at Livejournal - allow me to introduce you to the comfy arse chair

Bestest friend an arse could ever have!!
