Chinny Chin Chin
Thursday, 28th February, 2013 @ 11:13pm

Is anyone else weirded out that today is the last day of Feb? ALREADY?!?!?
Which for me also equals the last day of Summer....
Nuts man!!!! Full blown bag o' nuts !!! Crazy world needs to slow down!!!
Moving on..
We have a pink chinny chin chin and a kick-arse background forming!!
15%!

Cheerin'!
I'm tossing up whether to go bobbin set hunting today...thinking i'll wait because it is raining absolute buckets. Stuffing myself with chocolate whilst watching Hollywood Treasure seems slightly more preferable

Bobbin Lace
Tuesday, 26th February, 2013 @ 12:43pm

CREDIT: powerhousemuseum.com.au

I have a new fascination igniting ridiculously creative sparks within my brain.
When I had a squizz at the other exhibits in the craft pavillion at the show last weekend I was awestuck by the lace work. Doilies, bookmarks, tablecloths aka. old fashioned, white, only-for-grannies type stuff. I mean let's face it, you don't really equate lace making to sexy-cool-super-fun-ness do you? Well I certainly don't...
However the work and detail and gorgeousness really did inspire me like nuts. So I stood transfixed watching a row of ladies work on their pieces and by god it looked FASCINATING!

SO many pins, so many shiny bobbins, so many patterns, SO MANY POSSIBILITIES !!!
So guess what i've decided to put my $25 gift voucher towards!!?
BOBBIN KIT!!!
I'm going to try and head out this week before the crazyness of uni begins next Monday. I'm a little bit excited to give it a go guys !
I think the part that i'm losing sleep over (due to pure finger-tingling excitement), is the fact that all you need is a ton of pins, loads of colourful thread and the rest is up to your imagination !
You pop your pins into any pattern you wish and away you go! Clearly it's easier said than done, but man i'm so anxious to give it a go !!!

You're Already The Voice Inside My Yead!!!
Sunday, 24th February, 2013 @ 1:02pm

I have learnt I am impulsive as all heck. I really can't stop spinning the tunes from the other night, so a tick after midnight last night I had to get serious, bust out the pinks and black and get going on a Tom Delonge piece.
Not to get too soppy and sentimental but the man wrote the tunes to my teen years and continues to flaw my ears with Angels & Airwaves and frig me he's a champ

5%!

Can't see this one taking too long! Too desperate to see how it turns out

Tick Tick TICK!
Friday, 22nd February, 2013 @ 7:36pm

Describing the severe amount of feels I experienced at this gig is going to be nye on IMPOSSIBLE, but let me try and summarise with 2 main points.
1) My ticket was perhaps the last of my "Band Bucket List Tickets" I had yet to cash in.
2) I finally heard (and balled my eyes out to..)(I'm deadly serious) one of my top 3 fave songs OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!!!
For those with their buttocks on the edge of their seats - "I Miss You" - Blink 182.

I am one freaking happy woman !!!!!!!!!
"I Miss You" is about to go into it's 172nd cycle of replaying in my head. Honest to lollies it was so amazing...
Major Swaying Happyface.
Moving on....
I am yet to get my buns down to see how I faired at the show!! AGH!!
Little bit excited for tomorrow!! I think gates open at around 8:30am, so i'm planning to get an early start and be outta there before too many kiddies arrive. Actually I don't have an issue with kiddies. SCREAMING kiddies! Now THEY are the ones I have to employ my full range of coping skills for !!
Shall let ya know, how I go !!!

.....I'm sorry. That will never happen again ( I swear!)
Honestly, you have done a BRILLIANT JOB!! Micky!! And thank you thank you thank you for sending in some snaps! !!

I picked up my Beatle Boys piece last night and got stuck in so we should be at the 1/4 mark in no time !!
Soooooooo good to crochet again man!!
I do believe I shall be getting back to it in a big way over the coming months, as I have just received my subject outline for this semester, which tells me that apparently I have 5 pieces of assessment due over the coming weeks.
And we allllllll know what that means!
PROCRASTINATING!!!!!!
Crochet productivity is set to reach levels not seen since the days of political science and social welfare subjects of '09 and '10
Exciting shizz no ?!

NZ ROCKS!!!!!
Sunday, 17th February, 2013 @ 2:47pm

I have returned !!!!!! From the Amazingly beautiful country that is NEW ZEALAND! Three incredible weeks of criss-crossing the country has left me feeling a little teeny tiny bit completely in love with the place !!
I'll post pics asap, but for now I just wanted to say "HEY YA"LL!!! HOW ARE WE?!?"
I have an overflowing inbox to tame, a garden that is rivalling the jungles of deepest, darkest Africa and a doggie to pick up from the kennels !
But just quickly, guess who dropped off her landscape with the Royal Canberra Show judge this morning !!!!
I'm a little bit stoked, because the set up = glass cabinets with about 3 levels of shelves inside for people to pop their pieces on. HOWEVER! The chief (pfft...chief sounds so stupid when you're referring to crochet..), anywayz the chief crochet person decided that the wall NEXT to the cabinet that has 2 SPOTLIGHTS on it, will house my piece perfectly!! DUDE!!
Pride of place!!! Can I get an 'Amen!'?!?!
Bitchin. Totallee bitchin.
And for anyone playing at home, these are my exhibitor numbers, incase you are in town next weekend and wanna take a squizz!

The show opens next Friday, so i'm going to try desperately to duck down after getting off the bus from Sydneyland (Seeing Blink 182 on Wednesday!!! Happy Sway!! AGGHH!!) to see how I go in the judging.
Fingers, toes, ovaries and all crossable appendages crossed please people !!!
